In September 2016 I headed to university just like all of my friends. I ended up at a university I had never planned to go to just because I wanted to experience this exciting new freedom everyone was talking about. Of course, I found that 3 months down the line I was unhappy with both the course and location of where I was, it just wasn't right for me. So, I dropped out and moved back to Lincolnshire, back home with my parents.

With no plans I went back to the pizza place I had worked part time at during school, my family got a puppy and started planning a future in which I had no idea where to start. I considered so many options including the RAF, apprenticeships and even thought about heading back to University but in a different location and to study a different course. I couldn't decide on anything.

In September 2017 I began my BA International Development degree at the University of Leeds and I will never look back. It is a course I am fully invested in, has gotten me interested in the world of International politics and is something I can truly say is a passion of mine.

This year I will be heading to Israel and then Ghana to again learn more about the International system.

This blog is to show people my experiences, to discuss global issues and show that anyone, especially women, can travel solo and safely.
